In 2005, a garden at the Historic Railroad Shops adjacent to the Revolutionary War Battle Park was landscaped and dedicated and is pictured right.
In 2007, the Club membership voted to establish and fund a Culinary Garden at the Savannah Technical College (pictured below). The garden was designed to be an outdoor classroom to study the herbs students use in their cooking recipes, how the herbs grow and how to care for them. Our members were active in the garden design process, in the planning of the outdoor class- room and in its planting and care.
In 2010, the Club helped to create an organic farm at Bethesda which included the funding of an institutional quality green-house and spader. Members worked with the boys in plant propagation and composting.
In 2011, Club members worked with the new Southwest Chatham Library and our local military to create an outdoor, family-friendly seating area, shaded by existing live oaks.
In 2013, the club voted to support three projects, landscaping of Victory Drive around the Cohen fountain and further study to landscape the Victory corridor, funding additional plantings in the renovated gardens at the Scarbrough House and establishing a replica of the original Trustees’ Garden at the Coastal Georgia Botanical Gardens at the Historic Bamboo Farms.
